Larry and the Meaning of Life by Janet Tashjian
Larry And The Meaning Of Life was a clever and engaging book. Josh Swensen’s Struggle to recover from his failed campaign is clear throughout the novel, and as he is Sucked into the staged terrorism act fabricated by his loved ones I was nearly as Shocked as he. As the reader, I also found that I was able to easily connect with Josh, making his ordeal clear and comprehensible from his point of view. Some particularly commendable aspects of this novel are the great cliffhangers, Josh’s unique way of communicating with his dead mother, and the clever footnotes really help you realize what a clever person Josh really is. I recommend this book for ages 12-17, and award this gripping book 8.5 out of 10 stars.
