Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama
When a mermaid falls in love with a human, nothing good can ever happen. Generations after, Hester, the direct descendant, must uncover how to break the spell she cast lifetimes ago and release the souls that are still bound to their death spots. Even though the spirits help her along the way there are many surprises along with a murder Hester has to piece together.
The book Monstrous Beauty was an excellent book, with a perfectly woven story line. At the beginning it might have been a little hard to follow with the interwoven time sections. But as the story progressed it became clearer, but never gave away the end.
