The book Viola in the Spotlight was a really good book that I would recommend to the pre-teen audience and up. The book was about a girl named Viola whose hobby is making videos and editing videos. She returns to her home in Brooklyn and everything goes well until her best guy friend starts liking her as more than a friend and her other best friend is too love struck by a guy to hang out with Viola like before.
I enjoyed the overall story but thought it lacked originality compared to other books of its genre. To most girls in their teens or pre-teens I'm sure they would love this book, with it's entertaining plot and page turning conflicts. If you enjoy reading Sarah Dessen's books, Viola in the Spotlight is much like her books except aimed towards a younger audience.
