Melody Burning by Whitley Strieber
Melody Burning is a book about a boy who, from a very young age, lived in the walls of a high end apartment building after his father was pushed off of its roof when it was first being built. The book also follows a girl who is a rising star who lives in that apartment and how they meet, fall in love, and almost never get to see each other again because of the apartment owner's evil scheme.
Even though the book had a good romance idea and was a page turner, it was one of those really weird crazy ideas that you know could never happen. It's one of those books that had great intentions but came out so weird that you walk away thinking it was going to work out one way, but then worked out in a completely different direction. I don't think I would suggest it to my friends because of the way it was written.
