Newes From the Dead by Mary Hooper
The book Newes From The Dead is a wonderful read! I loved how with each chapter the perspective is changed between one of the doctors and Anne. I love Anne's tragic story. The reality of it all is astounding because you can not exactly say what did or did not happen. I highly recommend this book to any reader in the eighth grade or higher.

Newes from the Dead by Mary Hooper, is about Anne Green, a servant in an English household in the 17th century. She is accused of infanticide, a serious crime. Being then convicted and sentenced to hang, she loses all hope. Anne survives the hanging, and awakens on the dissection table a couple of hours later. This is a good book that is appropriate for teenage and above readers.
