Models Don't Eat Cookies by Erin Dionne
Celeste is an average middle schooler. The problem is people make fun of her size. She has always been "chunky" but she has always been made fun of. Most of the comments are from Lively Carson and her group of friends. The only comfort is her friends, her Twinkie stash and Theo Christmas, her favorite singer. But when her closest friend Sandra leaves her to join Lively because of a boy, Celeste is crushed. On top of that her aunt entered her in a modeling contest, one for "plus sized" girls. And worst of all she got in. As she works her way through the Husky Peach changes and her school life she learns more about herself than ever before.
I though this was quite a good book, full of suspense, drama, romance and humor. It had all of my favorite elements in it; I could just do without the dog that couldn't pee. Otherwise it sounds like a true story that most girls would like.
