A Scary Scene in a Scary Movie by Matt Blackstone
This story follows the strangeness of high school through the even more bizarre mind of Rene Fowler, an awkward anti-social kid. The book is interesting because of the large logical leaps that occur in Rene's head. He has sever OCD which makes him repeat the same actions over and over again. He groups everyone into different social groups like the Smartypants, The Devilblack Coats and more. The point of view from Rene's racing, wandering and troubled mind really adds something special to this story.
I did enjoy this book and it had a good story. It was a very interesting perspective on high school that I had never really thought about before. I would give it a 9/10 because it was very good but it didn't keep you interested as much as it could have done. I would recommend it to friends anyway because of the bizarre perspective it puts on high school.
