Down the Mysterly River by Bill Willingham

The book Down the Mysterly River is a book made for young kids with a very creative conflict. Max, a boy scout, wakes up lost with no memory of what happened. He and a group of talking animals set out when they are pursued by a group called bluecutters. They must defeat the group and learn where the land they're on is.

I would recommend this book to a younger audience because of it's creative plot and pretty illustrations.
