Matched by Ally Condie
Matched was a very successful story with it's amazing futuristic setting and complicated plot. This is the story of a girl who is matched with a soul mate by the government and is lucky to find her best friend, Xavier, her soul mate. But when she is given a tablet of information on him, as everyone is, another face appears. The face of Ky, a mysterious boy. Cassia tries to understand the glitch and finds herself in a triangle between the boy she was luckily matched with or the impossible love with Ky.
With good character development and a good setting, the story held all important parts of a complete book. The novel held my attention with its tiny detail and enchanting characters. It introduced a new world into the readers mind, stretching my imagination in ways only Harry Potter had done before. Matched would be good for any age group I would think, with no inappropriate parts and an interesting story. After reading this book I found myself only asking, how had no one else thought of a story like this?
