The Night Children by Kit Reed
The Night Children was a very engaging book about children who spend all their time in the largest mall in the world because they live there. Normally there isn't much trouble and the many 'gangs' of children who live there manage to get along without much trouble. When a new girl finds herself lost in the mall and being held by the Dings, the bad gang, it causes everyone to need to react. Everything isn't solved when the good guys come to the rescue as the owner of the mall begins to unfold his master plan which isn't something that anyone expected. Although it was slightly confusing to keep up with everything that was going on towards the beginning of the novel it became addicting once you began to understand who was who and all that was going on. The plot was really interesting, and just when you thought that there couldn't be much more too it, another twist was added in to keep your interested and wanting more. It was a great book, one that I'd recommend to others to read.

This book was a very good reading experience. Fictitious elements make the book a wild and crazy ride. I gave this book eight out of ten stars. The book did drag along at the end uneventfully, but that made the climax that much better.

The book "The Night Children" was a little boring to me. I love stories about female knights and magic. And although the idea of different gangs of children hiding in a mall is exciting, it just does not appeal to me.
