Drought by Pam Bachorz
This book follows Ruby, a girl who's blood can prolong life. But she is one of the few who know her secret. She is trapped with the other members of her Congregation, enslaved by the cruel Darwin West. When she meets Ford, she is tempted to run away. But if she runs, her friends and family will be condemned. This book is PG-13 for mild thematic elements and some minor violence.
I liked this book; the plot was good, though almost repetitive in a few short places. The characters were mostly believable. I would recommend it.
